We're Olly, Marcia & Milla, a fairly new family with a big idea. Milla has just turned 9 months old as we approach the start of 2019.

Our idea...to swim in 67 different seas by the time Milla turns 18 in 2036.

Why? Because pre-Milla we have been avid travellers and we wanted to carry that on and show Milla the world. We were conscious that having a child can change things and there's always a reason not to travel when they come along.

So, we set ourselves this challenge to keep us focused on travel and adventure as one of our family's core values over the coming years.

The reason we've picked 67 seas and not 67 countries (or something else) is because we love the sea. We also want this journey to be partly about learning and taking some action on the awful plastic pollution we find in our seas. By 2050 there will be more pieces of plastic in our seas than fish - there are currently 9 billion pieces of plastic in our seas and our sea life is dying every day from it.

So this blog is our way of combining our love of travel, the planet, our seas and the people and adventures the world holds for us all.
